  NST’s driver qualifications are:

Must be 23 years of age or older

Have held your Class A CDL for 2 years with verifiable experience

*Or, have a certificate from a truck driving school, are at least 28 years of age, hold a class A CDL with at least 6 months verifiable experience

*Steel Haulers, at least 1 of the 2 years of experience must be in steel hauling

Have a clean MVR

If you have no previous refusal to test or positive tests for DOT required drug & alcohol testing

The Northern Steel Transport & NST Logistic Van Division Difference

No Hazmat

Good Home Time:

                      Dry Van – Over The Road Driving but usually home weekends

                                              Run all 48 states

                                            Mostly late model equipment (2000+)

Freight type - General Commodities   (Food, cans, etc.)

Mostly No Touch Freight

Even Better Home Time:

Flatbed Regional – home about every other day & weekends

Freight type – Typically coils, metal sheets, poles, possible building materials
